Scary Night Review
Apollo Games might be a local studio at first glance, but they do seem to have some global ambitions, and they are always looking to go further. With that in mind, we’re happy to review their Scary Night slot that came out in 2022 and that takes place on an interesting setup with 4 reels, 3 rows and 81 ways to win.
Unfortunately, Scary Night is one of the visually rougher slots that Apollo Games have released to this day, and there’s hardly anything scary in its symbols. What’s more, we’re pretty sure that at least some of the graphics were lifted from one of the previous Apollo Games slots, and that’s an approach that we obviously can’t celebrate.
Scary Night Slot – Reels Screen
As for the game’s math model, it comes with a low-medium volatility level and a small 500x jackpot. The least that you can play for is then £0.10 per spin, while the most you can play for is £35. Finally, it’s worth noting that Scary Night comes with RTP ranges, and that its theoretical RTP can be anywhere between 85% and 99%. Its default RTP value is only 95%, however.
Scary Night Slot Features
There are 8 pay symbols in the Scary Night slot, and they can be divided into 5 low-paying symbols and 3 high-paying symbols. For the former, there are cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, and ghosts, which pay up to 4x your bet for a four-of-a-kind combination. Then, there are also grapes, melons, and pumpkins. Pumpkins are worth the most, and you’ll get a juicy 160x payout for a full set of those!
There are no Scatters in Scary Night, but there are Skull Wilds that work as Multiplier Wilds. Each Skull Wild that gets involved in a winning combination doubles its value, and you can get more involved in one combo to get even better win multipliers!
Scary Night Slot – Big Win Screen
There are no free spins or respins in Scary Night, but you can take advantage of Cascading Wins. Winning combinations are automatically removed from the board and replaced with new symbols, allowing you to chain payouts together within a single spin.
Review Summary
All in all, Scary Night belongs to the more disappointing games from the Apollo Games catalog. Its combination of Cascading Wins and Multiplier Wilds are decent enough, but its presentation is rather poor, and the same can be said about its default theoretical RTP of 95%. There are many better slots out there, even in the Apollo Games catalog, so there’s no need for us to recommend this one!
Pros
- 81 ways to win
- Cascading Wins
- Multiplier Wilds
Cons
- Rough audiovisual presentation
